The opening segment of RAW, features our first Diva of the evening, Stephanie McMahon. She and her husband, HHH, interrupt Brock Lesnar.
Unfortunately, i couldn't find another video of this segment besides the one i posted above, which doesn't showcase Stephanie very much, so i apologize for that. Nonetheless, Stephanie looked gorgeous, and played her character to perfection like she always does. Playing a sarcastic, narcissistic, condescending personality.
The next segment of the night involved Renee Young and John Cena. Again, this is a segment i couldn't find a video of. So i apologize for that, but hopefully you watched RAW live so you could actually see it. It was nice seeing Renee again, as it seems she is off Superstars, as she wasn't on last week, but lets hope i'm wrong, and we see her back for this weeks show.
We get our focus back on Stephanie again as she and Hunter announce John Cena's three opponents for the night, We get a drum-roll, from a 'drummer', who apparently can't do his job right.
It is now time for our sole Diva's match of the night, and sadly ALL the entrances were cut. What a shame.
The segment starts off with the Bella Twins talking with the announce team as they'll be providing guest commentary. Nikki has the Divas Championship on her shoulder, with a red dress on, which may i add, looks great on her. Brie as always, has her ''Brie Mode'' shirt on, and what looks like a skirt.
Paige and Summer start off as Paige fakes a tie up between the two, resulting with Paige kneeing Summer in the gut, and quickly tags in Natalya. The pair hit a wrist-lock snapmare. As Summer is on the ground, Natalya quickly runs over Summer, and hits a dropkick. Meanwhile, Nikki very bluntly says Paige turns her back on all her friends, whilst Natalya only has cats for friends. It was very harsh, but it plays well with Nikki's character, so it's fine.
Natalya puts her arm tightly across Summer's neck, and tags in Paige. Paige and Natalya hit a well-executed stalling suplex. Instead of going for the cover, Paige opts for a crawl, followed by some headbutts. After a third headbutt, Paige tags in Natalya, and the former ''Diva of Doom'' hits a low dropkick. She then kicks Summer in the chest, Natalya runs towards the ropes but gets distracted by the crazy fox, who goes by the name Alicia, leading to Summer hitting Natalya in the mouth with a sharp spin-kick.
Although, Summer has managed to finish off Divas with the move before, Natalya ends up kicking out with a close two-count. Alicia is then tagged in, and hopes to inflict punishment among Natalya. She hits Natalya with some knee strikes, and hits her with a stunning Northern Lights suplex. The move nearly costs Natalya the match with another close 2-count. Alicia ends up hitting a nice scoop-slam to set up a flipping leg drop. Although, it seemed like a nice idea, it quickly backfired as Natalya dodged the move.
Natalya uses her speed to her advantage, and tags in Paige once more. Paige whips Alicia around like a rag-doll using a bunch of clotheslines and then follows up with a dropkick. Paige then ducks an attempt of offense from Alicia and decks her with a boot to the face. Paige goes for the pin, but Summer breaks it up. Natalya comes in and handles Summer, dumping her outside the ring. Natalya then shoves Alicia into Paige, giving her a big boot to the face. This then sets up Alicia ''Bipolar'' Fox for the PTO, and the win for the team of Natalya and Paige. It is announced it will be Paige and Natalya vs The Bella Twins for the Royal Rumble, which i will touch on later.
This short-lived appearance comes from the ''Ravishing Russian'' Lana, who unfortunately doesn't get any promo time, as it's all about Rusev this week heading into the Royal Rumble.
Finally, we get a third appearance from Stephanie McMahon from ringside for the main event. Making his RAW debut is Sting, to help even the odds, and help Cena bring back his three amigos.
Sting's distraction costs Rollins the match, meaning Cena keeps his spot in the Royal Rumble title match, and his three friends, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan get their jobs back, and can return to WWE television.
Thoughts:
For RAW itself, i have to be honest, it was a bore-fest. I continue to be confused as to why WWE do these these kind of storylines, (fired) when their just going to be brought back a week later. It's a waste of time, in my opinion.
I'm not sure what to think of the Royal Rumble match, as i wanted a Triple Threat, but at least were getting some sort of Divas match. The amount time the Divas were given wasn't what i had hoped for, but these ladies killed it, whether it be in the ring, or not. They worked with the amount of time given, and made the most of it. That as a Diva fan, is great to hear.
Did you enjoy RAW? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. That's all for this week, folks. I'll be doing another RAW Revived next week, but until then, ciao!
