Hey guys! Been off and on with a lot of work to do. However, while I was still busy, I took the time to download the latest WWE Immortals app that was released just a couple of days ago. So why not take the time to review the game? Here we go.
WWE Immortals was a bold move by the WWE. They teamed up with Warner Bros to combine classic fantasy characters with the WWE roster. Lots of people were excited since the game was FREE and it featured some of our favorite WWE characters. We were excited to see how they'll look in the game. As far as our divas division goes, we have 4 characters: Trish, Paige, Brie, and Nikki; all of which contain TWO different characters (One Bronze Level and one Gold/Silver level). The higher the level (Bronze->Silver->Gold), the better the character. Here are the available divas as of this time. (There may be more characters in the future):
Bronze Characters:
- Ice Witch Brie Bella
- White Witch Trish Stratus
- Pyromancer Nikki Bella
- Dark Sorceress Paige
Silver Characters:
- Lunar Guardian Brie Bella
- Solar Assassin Nikki Bella
- Banshee Knight Paige
Gold Characters:
- Angelic Knight Trish Stratus
As far as these designs go, I feel they fit the characters and I like them. (Except for the Bellas). Some of these designs are not exactly satisfying (Ex. YES MOVEMENT Daniel Bryan NO NO NO Daniel Bryan, The Authority Triple H, etc.) because they either relate too much to a regular human being, or they are designed terribly. Especially Daniel Bryan. Poor Bryan.
As far as the gameplay goes, it's actually pretty good! It's very similar to other Warner Bro's titles: for example Injustice. It features 3-on-3 style combat with you choosing the three. Featuring touch-based combat, you tap to attack, swipe to launch a strong attack, double finger hold to block, and tapping bars on the bottom screen to activate the signature moves of each character. Your goal is to defeat all three of the characters on the opposite side. (Yes you switch out). Signature moves are based upon the character, and they are earned through adrenaline (Taking or giving damage). You first start with 1 signature move, but as your characters level up through a XP system, you gain more moves in the process. At level 20, your character will be able to perform their finishing maneuver.
You start with three cards and you gain as you go along or purchase them from a shop using credits (obtained by defeating opponents or buying them with real currency).
There are also behind-the-scenes things going on. Each character has traits that differ among each other. Picking the three characters for combat may have addition effects. Here are all of them:
- Talent Enhancements - When you obtain these cards, you gain addition effects like improved health, adrenaline, etc.
- Chemistry buffs - If your character is paired up with another character in your team, they may have additional effects. They can either be alliances or rivalries. Alliances gain 5% health and 5% attack. Rivalries gain 10% Adrenaline gain with the cost of 10% defense. It is up to you to decide which seems more important.
- Ability - Each character comes with an ability that benefits your team just like Talent Enhancements.
Overall this game is surprisingly good for being its first release. There are no annoying advertisements to be seen, and its very professional. If you're a wrestling or diva fan (Which I'm assuming you are), definitely pick this up.
